Mark Dean has been involved in the music scene in the UK midlands since the late 80s, from DJing and hosting events with his crew back then "The Sonik 5"After making a name for himself as a DJ, Mark knew radio was his calling and decided to embark on radio production at Northampton College in 1992.

Mark saw a gap within his hometown Northampton where he felt his local community were not being served by the radio stations at the time and he set about to create Inspiration Radio, the concept being a station by the people for the people, serving the local community with multicultural content to serve the community he was part of. Inspiration FM has since been going strong since 1996. A Northampton based community station which broadcasts from studios in Northampton playing R&B, Reggae, Gospel, Rap, Jazz, Dance, Asian, African, Greek and Irish Folk music.

In 2000, Mark was approached by BBC Radio Northampton's Editor about presenting a programme to reach all sections of the community and the BBC Northampton show "Inspirations" was formed and hosted by Mark

With Mark's strong links within the community, Inspirations covers hard hitting local and international news, and guest stars like Beyonce. Mark is a prominent figure in the community. If you have anything happening locally, Mark is there.

Whilst he has chosen his career path as a broadcaster his real love was the production of music which he learnt back in the early 80's working on analogue equipment however being as busy as he was this eventually took a backseat to his broadcasting and family commitments.

Mark however made personal time for his passion over the years although not releasing music commercially he would run his demos by us.
Marks Demos were always "Fire" and all had one thing in common...its clear this guy knows how to put a bassline down!!

Now with assistance from our in-house producer Maurice Bird we are so happy to present Marks first ever release on Mange Le Funk Productions.
